If you’re hankering for another vacation before winter sets in, now’s a great time to take a few days off. Nilou Motamed, Travel + Leisure’s features editor, shares some of the amazing deals the magazine has found.

1. Best family-friendly deal: Club Med resorts
A list of Club Meds are in the program, such as Punta Cana. All resorts offer a lot of different activities, including a "circus school" with trapeze lessons, tennis classes swimming, basketball and snorkeling. There are even kids-only pools in select resorts.

Price: $799 a week per adult, and $399 a week for kids for an all-inclusive week-long trip. (That's $114 a day for lodging, food, drinks and fun for adults and $57 day for a child.)

Savings: 4 free nights, and more than half off the regular price

2. Best spa/couple's getaway: L'Auberge De Sedona, Arizona
L'Auberge De Sedona recently debuted its spa cottages, and in honor of the 25th anniversary of the creekside property, they are "falling back rates to 1984 prices," the year the resort first opened. For this fall promotion, rates will be an amazing $187 in the spa cottages. Rooms usually start at $500+ a night.

This is a romantic resort that is on T+L's 500 Best Hotels in the World list. It's a cozy English country-inspired inn with cottages in a wooded, creekside setting that is a refreshing change from the desert, but still within easy reach of the red rocks.

Price: $187 a night

Savings: More than $300 a night

Fine print: Valid from November through Dec. 20, 2009

3. Best city escape: Donovan House, Washington, D.C.
This modern chic boutique property from the Thompson Hotel Group is a bold design departure for D.C. In the lobby, white leather lounge chairs hang from the ceiling, and most of the 193 mod rooms have polished oval bathtubs and tall windows with views downtown. And don't forget what the city itself has to offer with historical troves, museums, hot restaurants and more.

Price: $116 a night

Savings: About 50 percent off regular rates

4. Best Caribbean getaways
U.S. Virgin Islands

In honor of their newly minted Virgin Islands state quarter, the U.S. Virgin Islands rolled out their 25-cent a night deal at a large number of hotels, including Marriott Frenchman's Reef Resort. The islands are easily accessible islands that don't even require a passport. Two-thirds of St. John is protected from development as part of the Virgin Islands National Park, which makes it great for nature-lovers.

Price: 25 cents a night for a three-night stay at various hotels on each island

Savings: Almost 100 percent

Fine print: Traveler pays taxes and fees for the three-night stay and must book air when booking the rooms. Air is with reputable airlines with reasonable prices. Only valid until Dec. 15.

Ritz-Carlton Caribbean properties
Properties include Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman; the Ritz-Carlton in San Juan; the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas and Ritz-Carlton in Rose Hall, Jamaica. The Jamaica property features 5,000 acres of rolling island plantations and all the luxury of a Ritz-Carlton.

Price: Starts at $169 a night

5. Luxe for less: One & Only Palmilla, Los Cabos, Mexico
The luxurious One & Only resorts is dropping their prices for the fall, in part because this one in Mexico is hurting from it's location and the chatter regarding swine flu. However this resort was never touched and it's a 5-star resort and beautiful.

For a limited time you can enjoy One & Only luxury for the low rate of $367 a night. Just think: The same rooms would go for $525 to $1,500 a night when business was at its peak. Located at the tip of the Baja peninsula, this property is one of the top 10 resorts in Mexico, according to Travel + Leisure readers. Relax at the infinity pool, take in the dramatic ocean views, go on a horseback ride, swim, take a siesta ... the options are endless.

Price: Starts at $367 a night; includes breakfast and wellness classes

Savings: 30 percent off regular rates

Fine print: Available Nov. 1 through Dec. 18. 30% discount applies to all room categories. $367 applies only to superior rooms. Subject to availability.
