Big bucks may not be the deciding factor in Simon Cowell’s “American Idol” contract negotiations. Shortly after reports surfaced claiming Cowell could command as much as $144 million if he agreed to continue his ruthless judging routine, ex-girlfriend and current best friend Terri Seymour said the famed workaholic needs a break.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Seymour claimed an exhausted Cowell can’t go on juggling three high-profile talent competitions. Between his work on “American Idol” and U.K. shows “X Factor” and “Britain’s Got Talent,” one show has to go.

“I think all his work is tiring Simon out and he’s finding it hard,” Seymour explained. “He’d hate me saying this, but he’s not as young as he used to be. He’s got such a tough schedule and at some point, one of the shows will have to give.”

While Seymour’s confident that Cowell will make a cut, she won’t say which show is on the chopping block.

“We’ll just have to wait and see which one,” Seymour added.

Sarah Jessica Parker can’t relate to Carrie Sure, Sarah Jessica Parker and her on-screen counterpart Carrie Bradshaw look alike, but the “Sex and the City” star insists the similarities stop there.

“I just don’t drink, that’s part of the problem,” Parker said in a quote published in the National Enquirer. “I’ve never smoked anything other than the occasional cigarette in my whole life — and have never taken drugs of any kind.”

The actress confessed she even had a hard time coming to terms with Bradshaw’s racy side.

“If the audiences had known my true feelings about some of the sexual content in ‘Sex and the City,’ they may have felt I wasn’t the right person to be in such a series,” Parker admitted. “I wasn’t comfortable with the vulgar language, either. I thought that, because Carrie was a writer, she would be able to use better language than she did.”

Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. on the "Let's Be Cops," red carpet, Selena Gomez is immortalized in wax and more.

Cooper and Zellweger met at Antonucci’s Italian restaurant in NYC Tuesday night for what seemed like a romantic rendezvous, according to OK! magazine.

“He pulled her chair out for her when she sat down and he kissed her on the hand,” a fellow diner told the magazine. “If they’re just friends, they were being awfully affectionate!”

Another witness described the couple as “playful and flirty” while they whispered and giggled through their meal.

Dish on the fly Despite claims to the contrary, singer-songwriter Courtney Love has assured fans she’s not anorexic. “I know I’ve got too skinny,” Love told Grazia magazine. “I know I need to sort it out.” Love blames her weight loss on credit card woes, including a contested $350,000 in charges to her American Express account, rather than an eating disorder. “It’s the stress — you have no idea what it has been like these last few months. I need to get to the bottom of this fraud. I need answers.” … A television run of nearly two decades is a success by anyone’s standards, but for talk-show host Jerry Springer, it’s not exactly a source of pride. “I love doing it, it’s fun, but it has brought down western civilization,” the 65-year-old said in an interview with U.K. talk show “Chatty Man.” “I apologize. We’ve been doing the show for 19 years now, and I’m really sorry for that.”
