Though he’s never been one to shy away from tabloid tongue-wagging when it comes to daughter Lindsay Lohan’s love interests, alcohol consumption and multiple mishaps, Michael Lohan isn’t as quick to chime in on his own woes.

Until Wednesday, the elder Lohan seemed content to keep quiet about his April arrest for allegedly threatening to kill himself and his fiancée. That is until the New York Post broke the news.

According to the Post, police arrested Michael Lohan on April 6 for phone threats he made after his on-and-off love interest, Erin Muller, attempted to end their relationship. The report prompted the celebrity dad to finally end his out-of-character silent streak and put his own spin on the story.

“By no means did I threaten to cause harm to Erin or myself,” Michael Lohan told E! News. “As a matter of fact, Erin even told the court that she didn't want to pursue anything. It's all going to be dropped.”

While Michael Lohan admits there was a tense phone call at the center of the controversy, he offered few details concerning what he actually said.

“A person (Erin) thought was her friend violated her in a way that I don't want to describe,” he explained. “When I found out the truth, it didn't sit well with me.”

A judge is scheduled to hear the whole story on June 10.

With three new sunscreens (Sexy Hot Tan, Sunstroke and Forbidden Fruit), Ferrell hopes to raise money and awareness for Cancer for College, a charity dedicated to helping cancer survivors get a college education.

“The bottle says it all,” Ferrell said in a quote posted to Ecorazzi. “I’ve always dreamed of owning a lotion company.” On a more serious note, he added, “Honestly, I’m proud to be associated with such a great charity.”

Dish on the fly“Lost” star Evangeline Lily passed up the chance to be the next Angelina Jolie, or at least that’s what the hit show’s producers believe. In an interview with Women’s Health magazine, TV’s Kate revealed acting just isn’t her ultimate ambition. “It frustrates (the producers) that they've given me this chance to become the next Angelina,” she explained. “Sure, I'd love to be her, but just the humanitarian side.” … Maybe Disney darling Miley Cyrus should give her main man a little more attention. When Details magazine asked Juston Gaston who (or what) he would trade places with, the aspiring singer admitted he’d love to live the life of a lapdog. “I’d like to be one of those little lapdogs that just get petted all day,” Gaston said. “Cause they have the best life. They wake up. They get fed. They have attention all the time. I like attention. I don’t like to be by myself. So I want to be one of those little dogs.” … All gossip is good gossip, according to Jada Pinkett Smith. Though she and husband Will Smith often find themselves in the rumor mill firing line, she's sure it’s better than the alternative. “You want people to talk about you, because once they stop talking about you that’s when you’re really in trouble!” Pinkett Smith told Ebony. “I’m happy to have people talk about all the craziness they want to talk about, whether it’s things like every year we’re getting divorced or we’re an open family or Will’s gay, or I’m gay.”
