Which flowers did you pick? We know the selected wedding gown, rings, bridesmaid dresses, invitations, menus, sleepwear and cake, and now our audience has chosen the flowers they would like to see displayed on Melanie and Peter’s wedding day. The J. Gordon Designs flowers were selected. Read about the J. Gordon Designs flowers and the other selections that were up for consideration below.

PETER AND MELANIE will return next week, when you’ll be able to plan the final aspect of their wedding. And on Wednesday, September 6, they’ll get married live on “Today.”

This design is made up of three small, individual pieces in thick-cut round glass containers that together form one main centerpiece. Lavender, green and blue hydrangeas, metallic and black beauty roses, deep violet sweet pea and thistle multicolored roses create a luscious, special feel.

This centerpiece is an example of traditional flowers with a modern twist. It’s a bridal pallette with lavender hydrangeas, bluebird roses, renatte and message roses, Champagne roses and Stephanotis. These flowers are surrounded by variegated lycianthus, white hydrangeas and blue lace flower in a handcrafted wooden box covered in lemon leaves.

This centerpiece is an example of modern simplicity. The trend here is all one type of flower with an accent. Here we have shades of white roses, mini calla lillies and white peaches, adding a touch of blush and fragrance using tuber roses.

Another trend is to incorporate grasses and berries into a feeling of wild flowers. This centerpiece is made up of dalias, hydrangeas, sweet pea, roses, mini calla lillies in burgundy, purple, orange, red and lavender colors held by a low (5x5), frosted glass cylinder. The autumnal colors and berries added with lavender create a very textured look.
