No doubt your honeymoon will be dreamy no matter what, but a little savvy planning before your trip will minimize stress and maximize amour. Carley Roney, Editor-in-Chief of The Knot.com shares some general suitcase stuffing tips to help you be a lean, mean packing machine.

WHEN SELECTING your wardrobe, think coordinating solids, wrinkle-resistant microfibers (Lycra, nylon, spandex, and Tencel) and versatile shoes. Also, remember that while light-colored fabrics show stains, they’re cooler than dark clothes. Avoid taking shoes or clothes you’ve never worn before.

If it’s available in a travel size, buy it. Also share vacation basics (toothpaste and suntan lotion, for example) whenever possible, and double-check what amenities your hotel offers. For example, many include hair dryers, so you can leave yours at home.

Pack all your valuables (passports, jewelry, camera), one change of clothes (at least a change of underwear), your minimum toiletry needs (your toothbrushes and toothpaste at minimum), non-perishable snacks (raisins, nuts) and a small bottle of water in your carry-on bag in case your luggage gets delayed or lost.
