The warrant for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest was issued on Friday in response to the star’s recent trip to Las Vegas, a source told Access Hollywood on Sunday.

According to the source, Lohan drove herself to Vegas, following girlfriend Samantha Ronson to one of her DJ gigs, and was photographed partying. However, the star is on a restricted driver's license and is only supposed to be driving for work, the source added.

Such a drive could constitute a violation of Lohan’s parole.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning in the Beverly Hills Courthouse.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Superior Court told Access on Sunday that it was unknown if Lohan would appear at the court date.

“It’s up to her and her counsel,” the spokesman said. “She has a right to appear, we don’t necessarily know if she will.”

He would not disclose the reason for the arrest warrant, but noted that the issue “sounds like it probably can” be resolved by her legal team.

“The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week,” Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan’s lawyer, told reporters in a statement on Saturday.

According to The Associated Press, the attorney plans to appear in court on Monday without Lohan.

The actress is serving out a three-year probation after pleading no contest to two charges of DUI and pleading guilty to two charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and reckless driving in 2007. She could go to jail if she were to violate any of the terms of her probation.

Lohan had a tumultuous weekend after the warrant was issued. According to People, Lohanwas spotted at Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmont on Friday night around 8 p.m. with three female friends, drinking water and an “unidentified drink” in a cocktail glass. Hours later, Lohan reportedly arrived at the home of Jack Nicholson around 1:45 a.m.. According to People sources, she buzzed the intercom several times and asked for “Jack” to open the gate before being let inside. A bodyguard picked her up at 4:30 AM and brought her to girlfriend Samantha Ronson’s Beachwood Canyon home in LA.

On Saturday, numerous reports arose of an afternoon disturbance at the house, which included a window breaking. Police were photographed arriving at the home and knocking on the door.

According to TMZ, they had arrived in response to the disturbance — reportedly, a fight between Lohan and Ronson — and not to serve the star with her arrest warrant.
