Never one to let salacious celebrity news go by without adding her passionate point of view, comedienne Roseanne Barr has finally made time to share her thoughts on Chris Brown’s alleged assault on Rihanna. This week Barr let loose, blogging with the sort of fury she usually reserves for Oprah, Britney Spears and Brangelina bashing.
“Chris Brown’s lies and excuses make me want to beat the crap out of him,” she wrote on Monday. “You dirty bastard, I hope you go to prison for ten years. IT’S YOUR FAULT, A-----E!”
Ah, but what a difference a day makes. By Tuesday, Barr seemed to believe the “Umbrella” singer shared the blame.
“I hope Rihanna is getting counseling from a professional counselor who will tell her that there is no way for her to ever win, and that she will have to curtail her own penchant for escalating conflict by screaming at or hitting or humiliating her abuser,” the former “domestic goddess” added in a post entitled “Sick Secret.”
Oddly enough, when the rants were over, Barr decided the pair still had a chance for a future together, stating, “If they still love each other after they learn self control and conflict resolution, then they can get back together.”
Taylor Swift won’t talk sex Don’t ask country darling Taylor Swift about her sex life. The 19-year-old told Rolling Stone magazine that sort of talk just leads to untoward thoughts.
“I feel like whatever you say about whether you do or don’t, it makes people picture you naked,” Swift said. “And as much as possible, I’m going to avoid that. It’s self-preservation, really.”
Dish on the fly
Jennifer Aniston’s off-again, on-again boyfriend John Mayer has some big plans for Sunday night. “I’m going to the Oscars,” the singer-songwriter revealed to PopSugar. “It’s my first Oscars. And it’s my first being an Oscar boyfriend.” And once the film festivities finish, Mayer promised to disappear for a while. “After that night I have a deal almost signed in blood that says I must go into the studio and finish this record. So after Oscar Sunday, Monday morning I’m invisible.” … The winner of “Rock Star: INXS” lost his winnings. According to reality TV rocker J.D. Fortune, the Australian band unceremoniously dropped him from his prized frontman spot after completing their world tour. “I was in an airport (in) Hong Kong and literally got a handshake,” Fortune told the Canadian edition of Entertainment Tonight. “They said, ‘Thank you very much.’”
