During an Oct. 14 interview Senator John McCain gave WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, the Republican nominee was asked about his running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and her resemblance to Tina Fey, who's been playing her on "SNL."

“See Palin, now see Tina Fey. What is your reaction?” McCain was asked.

“It’s good humor,” said McCain. “I’ve been on ‘SNL,’ I’ve hosted it. Darrell Hammond does a great job (as McCain). I think Sarah Palin is going to be on ‘SNL.’”

What? Is McCain ruining some big surprise? In a word, no.

A rep for the show shoots down this latest hint about the likelihood of an appearance by the governor. “Nothing is confirmed at this point,” says "SNL" spokesman Marc Liepis.

Previously the New York Post reported that Palin would appear on the Oct. 25 show, hosted by “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm. Liepis also said that was “completely untrue.”

However, Liepis has pointed out that the show “is always talking to campaigns.” Palin's possible path to "SNL" hasn’t closed yet.

Is ‘The Hills’ headed for the hills?Say it isn’t so. Infighting and diva behavior on the set of MTV reality show “The Hills” is said to have reached such an extreme that the show could be on the chopping block.

“No one gets along anymore. Whitney (Port) moved to New York, Audrina (Patridge) can’t stand to be in the same room as Lauren (Conrad) anymore and they all want more money,” a show insider told OK! magazine.

Conrad, who feels she’s been branded a “bad friend and a slut,” according to the source, isn’t even sure she wants to return for another season.

“She isn’t sure what to do. As of right now, she hasn’t signed off for the next season,” the source told OK!.

Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. on the "Let's Be Cops," red carpet, Selena Gomez is immortalized in wax and more.

With no drinking and no drama to speak of at the event (it was even sponsored by Snapple Antioxidant Water, not an alcohol brand as is usual practice), the only possible rumor to come from the night comes from the absence of Lohan’s friend, Sam Ronson.

Don’t read too much into it. Sam’s sister, Charlotte, made it to the event, and Sam provided a music selection for the party.

“The two aren’t fighting. Sam was working out of town and couldn’t make it. That’s all,” said a friend of Lindsay’s.

And if you were wondering about the name of the line, 6126, Lohan says she named it after Marilyn Monroe’s birthday — 6-1-26.

“To me, (Monroe) represents timeless, confident glamour, and that is the voice of this brand,” says Lohan.

McCartney joins PETA’s anti-Armani campaignGiorgio Armani has been an ardent supporter of Stella McCartney/s fashion, but that hasn’t stopped her dad, former Beatle Paul McCartney, from joining PETA’s campaign to encourage Armani to stop using fur.

In fact, PETA confirms that Sir Paul wrote a letter in support of PETA’s “Get Armani off Fur” campaign.

Although the original letter couldn’t be released, a rep for PETA confirms that McCartney, who has a five-year-old daughter, Beatrice, specifically referenced his outrage over Armani children’s wear that is made with fur.

“He finds (the children's wear line) particularly offensive,” said the rep.

Spears and first husband reunite Britney Spears is back with her first husband Jason Alexander. Well, sort of back together, according to Us Weekly.

The magazine says that Spears has re-friended Alexander (whom the mag describes as a “clothing entrepreneur”).

“They are friends again and have been for six or eight months,” Alexander’s manager, Susan Ferris, told Us.

Another source told the magazine that the two got reacquainted during Spears’ hospitalization earlier this year.

“Britney has been to his house,” the insider says. “(Britney's father) Jamie Spears loves Jason, and approves of Britney spending time with him.”

A Spears rep counters the claim and says, “She has not been in contact with him.”

Spears and Alexander married January 3, 2004, and had the marriage annulled 55 hours later.
