Just before her former flame, Raffaello Follieri, pleaded guilty to charges of wire fraud and money laundering, Anne Hathaway broke her silence about the struggles she endured after his arrest.
“As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for ‘Get Smart,’” Anne told W magazine. “And then I spent a week in shock at a friend’s house. And then I had to go back and do more press, and I haven’t stopped since.”
The actress credits her professional perseverance (“You do your job; you keep your head up.”) and the kindness of friends with helping her through the darkest days.
“It’s a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden,” Anne explained. “But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me.”

Michelle Williams wants a break from movies
Once she completes her current projects, Michelle Williams plans to take time off from her busy schedule and get back to basics.
In an interview with the New York Times, the “I’m Not There” actress confessed that between work and her role as a single mother, no doubt a more demanding job since the death of her former partner Heath Ledger, she has little time for herself.
“I’m going to take a year off,” Michelle announced. “I think I stopped feeling creative a while ago, and I’m just realizing it now.”
During her upcoming sabbatical, she hopes to find time to daydream and maybe even start a simple hobby.
“I want to humble myself in front of a task like embroidery,” Michelle said. “I like how physical work can really free your mind.”
Corey Feldman blames his parents for his woes
As a former child actor, Corey Feldman resents the woes he weathered on his way to adulthood but says he doesn’t blame Hollywood for his tough time.
Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings “It wasn't the industry's fault, it was my parents',” Corey told Metro magazine. “They should have been more responsible and laid the groundwork for me to build a healthy adult life. I was fortunate enough to continue my career, but that's due to my tireless dedication.”
In the interview, the '80s actor-turned-reality TV star explained that he’s against “creating child stars,” as the trappings of fame are likely to result in “a shell of a person (who’s) unable to live a healthy adult life.”
He points to his own life as an example.
“I was 17 and already I'd become a joke to some people,” Corey confessed. “As with everything in life, you're measured by your achievements and people like to point out your failures. Everyone recognized me, so I couldn't just get a job at the local Blockbuster. It was a very difficult time.”
Dish on the fly
Despite rumors to the contrary, Kirsten Dunst insists she’s not dating Drew Barrymore’s ex, Justin Long. In fact, she told Harper’s Bazaar that the rumors “are the funniest thing on planet Earth.” Well, something’s funny about Kirsten’s claim, too. While the actress says she only met Justin once and doesn’t “know him from Adam,” the two somehow keep getting photographedtogether. Hmm. … It looks like Josh Hartnett’s previously reported hotel sexcapade never happened. A source for the Daily Mirror accused the actor of “getting pretty hot and heavy” with a female friend in a library of a SoHo hotel, but an insider has since revealed to TMZ that the actor wasn’t even at the hotel in question, so he couldn’t have put on a racy show for the security cameras.
