Thanks to some well-placed surveillance cameras, Josh Hartnett starred in an inadvertent sex tape, reports The Daily Mirror. The “30 Days of Night” actor and an unnamed female friend allegedly provided a SoHo hotel staff with unexpected evening’s worth of awkward entertainment.

According to a source, Josh and his companion entered what they believed was a secluded area of the hotel, a little-used library, and drew the curtains before getting cozy.

“Josh and the girl were getting pretty hot and heavy,” said the source who watched the actor’s actions on the hotel’s monitor. “Unfortunately, the hotel has security cameras all over the place — the library included.”

Several members of the hotel staff huddled around the monitor, but the source said, “No one quite knew where to look and there was a very awkward silence.”

Joey Fatone: Justin’s found the one
Though Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel continue to shoot down wedding rumors, one of the “Sexy Back” singer’s N’ SYNC pals believes Jessica’s definitely “the one.”

“I think (Justin’s) finally met somebody that he wants to spend the rest of his life,” Joey Fatone told UsMagazine.com.

While Joey isn’t sure if it’s “the appropriate time” for the couple to make it official, he admitted, “You never know.”

Of course the timing may seem more appropriate if there’s any truth to those recent baby bump rumors.

Downey Jr. promises ‘bad-ass’ Sherlock Holmes
Taking on the role of the world’s greatest detective won’t require Robert Downey Jr. to switch gears following his action-packed parts in “Iron Man” and “Tropic Thunder.” The actor promises his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film will be intense.

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings “I’ve got to spend some time with Guy and I love his take on it,” Robert told the Sun. “We’re both martial arts enthusiasts and in the original stories of Sherlock Holmes, he’s kind of a bad-ass and a bare-knuckle boxer and studies the rare, fictional martial art of baritsu.”

According to the star, that opens up an opportunity to add some real knockdown drag-out action to the film.

“If you look baritsu up, they can’t even really tell you what it is, so it gives us a lot of leeway,” he said.

Apparently the NFL player heard about celebrities like Mario Lopez and Shannon Elizabeth finding love with their pro partners during the competition. “It’s not that he doesn’t trust Kim, but he knows she’s a big flirt,” the insider said. … While one friend recently revealed David Duchovny’s sex addition involved the Internet rather than extramarital romances, another pal told E! News that he was shocked to learn the “Californication” star suffered from sex addiction at all. “It’s news to me,” writer Matt Dearborn revealed. “He didn’t seem any more or less horny than anyone I worked with.”
