Amanda Beard dating Michael Phelps? ‘Ew, no!’

Millions of fans may be admiring Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps from afar, but Playboy pinup and fellow Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard isn't one of them.

Olympic swimmer and medal machine Michael Phelps may have what it takes to win over America’s hearts, but he’s just not good enough for former women’s breaststroke champ Amanda Beard.

Rumors of romance between the athletes began to circulate earlier this week, and while the record-breaker simply denied them, Amanda took to the airwaves on the “Johnjay and Rich in the Morning” radio show and made it clear that she found idea of dating the golden boy repulsive.

When asked if she ever kissed Michael, Amanda answered, “Ew, no!” Held hands? “Ew, no! Not even that.” Even the mere suggestion that Michael might be attracted to her inspired an “ew-that’s-so-nasty” response.

What’s so icky about dating Michael Phelps? It seems that Beard, a past Playboy pinup, doesn’t care for his appearance.

“C’mon, I have really good taste,” she told the radio hosts. “He’s not really my type, personally.” Laughing, she added, “I go for a little bit different-looking guys.”

Actors give their paychecks to Heath’s daughter
In an effort to provide for Heath Ledger’s daughter Matilda, who wasn’t included in the late actor’s outdated will, three of acting's A-listers are handing over their wages to the two-year-old.

The Sun reports that each of the stars who took a turn in completing Heath’s final film role, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, volunteered for the generous gesture.

“They didn't take money — it goes to Heath's daughter,” Terry Gilliam, the director of “The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus,” told the paper. “That's extraordinary! And wonderful … and when you're part of that, you think, 'Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people.’”

According to Star magazine, the “Fool’s Gold” actress already has her heart set on on-again, off-again beau Owen Wilson.

Sources tell the magazine Kate’s been calling her ex and, despite their bad break-ups, Owen’s willing to hear what she has to say.

“He was frosty at first,” an insider said. “He felt betrayed when she dumped him for his friend Lance. But after a while, he caved in and has been sweet to her.”

Dish on the flyEven after all the years and long-forgotten feuds, Jennie Garth still felt trepidation about joining her old “Beverly Hills, 90210” costar Shannen Doherty for their new spin-off show on the CW. “Everyone was making it out to be such a big deal that I think we both fell prey to having that affect us,” Jennie told TV Guide. “I think it will be OK. We’re both grown women, both professionals. Once we were working, it felt like a good fit.” … There’s no better way to seal the deal on a made-for-TV relationship than a made-for-TV wedding — at least that’s the philosophy Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag share. “The Hills” couple told Extra they plan to make sure their walk down the aisle will be a live event for all to enjoy. Or not enjoy, as the case may be. But don’t set the TiVo just yet! The two haven’t picked a date for the spectacle, as Heidi’s still “waiting for that big ring!”
