By now it’s pretty much common knowledge that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban named their baby Sunday Rose, and thus re-opened the vault of bad celebrity baby names.
What was the couple thinking? One Kidman source said that before the birth, Urban penned a song titled “Sunday” about his little miracle-to-be. “(Urban and Kidman) knew the sex of the baby beforehand, and once Keith wrote the song, they thought it was the perfect name for their baby,” said the Kidman source. “They really didn’t know she’d almost be born on Sunday.”
Another source said the name is her last jab at Scientology. “Nicole is a Catholic, and Sunday was an important religious day for her until she was involved in Scientology,” said the source. “She’s still bitter about her experience with Scientology and the fact her baby’s name could be perceived as one last jab doesn’t exactly upset her.”
What’s up next for the new family of three? “They’re going to nest in Nashville for a while.”

Is A-Rod helping or hurting Kabbalah?
Madonna is not having an affair with Alex Rodriguez, according to statement made via her rep Liz Rosenberg, but her relationship with the baseball player is impacting another family — her fellow Kabbalah followers.
Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings “It’s a tough call, whether this is good or bad for Kabbalah,” said once source close to the organization. “Recently, Kabbalah has had to take a backseat to Scientology, at least in the press, so it’s good that people are reminded of it again.”
But is this the kind of reminder Kabbalah wants? “That’s the big question,” said the source. “I guess some say there’s no such thing as bad press, but this could turn out to be a different story.”
Naomi Watts may be expecting a girl
Despite keeping mum on the subject, Naomi Watts is reportedly expecting baby No. 2, according to sources close to the actress. “Naomi loves being a mom,” said one source. “She didn’t confirm her first pregnancy for quite some time; there is no reason to think she is going to rush to confirm this one, either,” said the source.
Another source said that Watts and Liev Schreiber, whose first baby, Alexander Pete, celebrates his first birthday July 25, have already begun shopping for the new arrival. “She just shelled out $1,210 for a diaper bag from miabossi.com and she’s contacted designers from Petit Tresor to come up with several different plans for a nursery,” said the source.

Reality show competitors are not there to make friends. Msnbc.com contributor Andy Dehnart writes about this montage from FourFour that culls contestants from recent shows pointing out that they “are not here to make friends.” Worth a look. … Paparazzi photos are rarely something to be praised, but this photo of Jude Law, courtesy of Defamer, proves not even celebrities get preferred treatment at Radiohead concerts, and belongs in some sort of hall of fame.
