When she’s not putting on the ritz for work, Jessica Simpson leaves the makeup and fashion of her diva days behind. Life & Style reports it’s her romance with Tony Romo that deserves the credit for Jessica’s new laid-back look.

“Gone are the days of Jessica having her hair and makeup people on call 24/7,” a close source told the magazine. “She always worried about how she looked. Now she knows she can dress the way she wants and choose not to wear makeup and (Tony will) still love her just as much.”

In fact, according to the insider, Tony prefers it. “He’s more attracted to her when she’s casually dressed with her hair hanging around her shoulders, than when she’s carefully coiffed and dressed to the nines.”

Jess’ diva-downed style is a close copy of Tony’s own casual attire, featuring T-shirts, sweats and baseball caps. But lest anyone thinks this is a case of Jessica changing for a man, the source assures Jessica just feels comfortable enough with Tony to be herself. “She hates trying to look sexy all the time. Jess is a down-home girl on the inside.”

That’s not to say she’s totally turned her back on her famous fashion sense. “She still loves a great pair of shoes,” another insider shared.

How fame impacts Reese and Ryan’s kids During his marriage to Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Philippe found it difficult to deal with the focus celebrity couples share. In an interview with The Times, Ryan explains how his reactions to that fame affected their children.

“I fooled myself into believing (being in a Hollywood relationship) would be easier than it was,” Ryan admitted. “To have people speculating constantly about the state of your relationship, casting aspersions and telling lies. ... It took more of a toll than I was immediately aware of.”

Now that he and Reese have long gone their separate ways, Ryan feels the toll it’s taken on his 8-year-old daughter, Ava. “She’s aware and it creates in her a lot of anxiety, which is partly my fault. When Ava was very young, I was young too. And brash. I’d get ... I wouldn’t like to say violent, but visibly angry at the paparazzi back then. She was my first child, and my instinct was to protect her. I remember one time that I’m not at all proud of, I was holding my daughter and handed her to Reese and ran off to chase this one guy down and hit him. I would never do that now.”

Ryan blames himself for the fearfulness Ava feels. As for his 4-year-old son, Deacon, the impact isn’t the same. “Mainly because since his birth I’ve realized that you’ve got to make it seem like less of a big deal,” he said. “Ava to this day, though ... it breaks my heart to think about it, hearing her say, ‘My friends at school saw a picture of me in a magazine and they made fun ’cos I was carrying a blanket.’ A little girl having to consider how she looks before leaving the house? I have a privileged life and hate to complain but there’s something vile about that.”

Dish on the fly Despite what the rest of the world thinks, Hayden Panettiere believes her pal Paris Hilton is one smart celebutante. “She's a nice girl and a lot brighter than people give her credit (for), but no one sees her like that because she plays this character all the time,” the “Heroes” hottie said in a quote posted to ContactMusic. “She's actually a marketing genius.” … At a Kanye West show in Sacramento, fans failed to cheer as the rapper gave a shout-out to the wrong town. “When I said Seattle and there was no crowd response I was up on my spaceship platform thinking damn... I think I just said the wrong city!!!!!” Kanye posted to his blog. “I'm a man; I can say it... I'm sorry.”
