Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon continue to be one of Hollywood’s cutest and most low-key couples. The pair, along with Witherspoon’s kids, Ava and Deacon, went on a little spring break of their own in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, according to Us Weekly.
They trip got off to a bumpy start. Gyllenhaal is on crutches and Witherspoon had an allergic reaction to strawberries on the flight to Mexico, but once they arrived at their rented home on the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club, Us reports that gang settled in well.
The magazine’s eyewitness said that “the kids loved the pool. It was hard to tear them away from the water.” And although the group had a private chef, “Reese and Jake both did a lot of cooking.”
There doesn’t appear to be much awkwardness when Gyllenhaal is with the kids, either. “The kids have fun with him — he makes them laugh,” reports the mag.

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings That isn’t to say Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal didn’t have alone time — that’s where the nanny came in. UCLA staffer snooped at Farrah Fawcett’s medical records
Months before UCLA hospital staffers attempted to access Britney Spears’ medical records, Farrah Fawcett learned that someone had accessed records about her cancer treatments at the same hospital.
The L.A. Times reports that lawyers for Fawcett are concerned that the information was then sold or leaked to tabloids, including the National Enquirer. According to reports, Fawcett herself had just learned that her cancer had returned and she hadn’t even told close family members of the news when the National Enquirer posted the news on its Web site.
UCLA has since fired an employee who allegedly accessed Fawcett’s records, and is taking further measures to ensure that patients’ rights are not violated.
“If I was a celebrity and got sick, or even got accused of a crime, L.A. is the last place I’d want to be,” a well-placed attorney told this column. “From what I know to be true, there is always someone willing to put their job on the line if it means a big payday. Unfortunately that’s just the reality right now.”
Dennis Quaid kicking the habit
Dennis Quaid has always been health conscious, save for his smoking habit, but the actor says his cigarette days are behind him now that he’s got his twins. “I quit smoking when the kids were born,” Quaid told Outside GO magazine. At the time of the interview Quaid said he’d gone more than two months without smoking, and this time he’s certain the habit is kicked. “I've quit a hundred times, but I've really quit this time because I want to be around for them.”
