It’s hard for Jamie Lynn Spears to shock anyone these days. After announcing her pregnancy in December, engagement news could be easy to overlook. But thanks to a recent outing in a T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase “The Rumors Are True” while sporting a shiny diamond on her hand, Spears has put many of the questions regarding her relationship to her baby’s father, Casey Aldridge, to rest.
“Jamie Lynn and Casey are officially engaged,” a close friend of the teen couple confirmed to OK! magazine. “They’re committed to each other and anxious to be the best parents they can possibly be, and also the best husband and wife they can be to each other.”
The 16-year-old Spears won’t be trading Louisiana for Los Angeles after the baby is born, a source close to Spears told us. And the magazine confirms that the couple will wed in the Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, La., too.
OK! reports that the wedding will take place at Serenity, the estate of big sister Britney Spears, who will likely be a bridesmaid. Jamie Lynn won’t be rushing to the altar in the typical sense, however. The magazine’s source reports that she’ll wait to get back into shape before swapping “I do’s.” “I expect she’ll want to wait at least several months to get her figure back so she can wear a beautiful wedding gown and then have her dream wedding.”

Keith Richards not so worried about Hannah Montana
The “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds” concert documentary set records during its February run, so how will the Rolling Stones documentary, “Shine a Light,” fare in comparison?
One person not at all concerned about having a better run against the 15-year-old is Keith Richards. “I’m in competition with nothing,” Richards told OK! at the “Shine a Light” premiere in New York City. “This is why I’m in this game.”
Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings Fair enough. That attitude has served Richards and the rest of the Stones well thus far. It also gives them a right to weigh in on the latest generation of rehabbed starlets and rockers. Bandmate Ron Wood, says the magazine, would “love to help them.”
Fiona Apple pitches in for Green Chimneys
With so many celebrities who make public promises to do charity work and never do, it’s nice to see some who don’t make big announcements about giving their time, only to do so in a low-profile way.
Fiona Apple spent a very rainy April Fool’s day at the Green Chimneys in Brewster, N.Y. (Green Chimneys is a farm for rescued animals that also functions as a center for animal-assisted therapy for children.)
Apple went right to work. She “raked and mucked the goat’s area, cleaned out stalls, fed animals,” among other tasks Apple helped out with, according to an observer there. “When she was offered and umbrella, she said, ‘No, I’m actually enjoying standing out in the rain,’” said the source.
50 Cent’s presidential endorsement still TBD
If rapper 50 Cent’s all-important endorsement of a presidential candidate was what you were waiting on to decide who to vote for, the wait just became a little longer. MTV reports that 50, who was once a Hillary Clinton supporter until Barack Obama made his speech on race, is no longer sure he’s going to support Obama either. “To be honest, I haven't been following that anymore. I lost my interest,” he told MTV. Stay tuned for news on when 50 finds his interest again.
