If you are among those who dismiss Heidi Montag as being just another product of another reality show, consider this: Montag has a clothing line, a music career that continues despite a disastrous first attempt at a music video, and she even had hopes of altering the famous Hollywood sign to say “Heidiwood” in time for a splashy April 11 fashion show.

According to Us Weekly, Montag’s publicity team (who deserves congrats in their own right for turning Montag into the brand she is) wasn’t able to make it happen. Los Angeles city council member Tom LaBonge told the magazine, “We rarely accept alterations of an historic monument.”

Paris meets karma
Paris Hilton is going to guest star on “My Name Is Earl” when the comedy returns with new episodes on April 3. Hopefully, Hilton will do for “Earl” what Britney Spears did for “How I Met Your Mother.” (Spears drew more than 10 million viewers the night of her guest spot, a series record for the show.)

In related news, here’s a follow-up to the rumors regarding another pet adoption for Hilton : Although all involved parties had ample chance to respond before Wednesday’s column was published, Bobbi & the Strays would like to make clear that Hilton will not be adopting a dog from their shelter and that they do extensive due diligence before adoptions.

Kate and Owen’s relationship still alive
Video: Scoop on the Tupac story Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson’s relationship redux was able to survive a week under the microscope of basically every celebrity news outlet. The general consensus now is that the couple will continue their reconciliation, but slowly.

Although Hudson is nesting in Miami while Wilson is there filming “Marley and Me,” a source told Us Weekly that “it is not a committed, getting-married type of thing, but it's going well.”
“It’s been a long process of apologizing and showing her he has changed,” the source said.

“Those bad influences are out of his life.  And she's really been there for him, which is amazing.”
