Things continue to look up for Britney Spears. Her conservators have her estate under control, she’s sporting a glossy new weave and according to one paper, she’s given her paparazzo boyfriend the heave-ho after finding some incriminating text messages.

The tale of the texts unfolded after Britney got an eyeful of Adnan Ghalib’s iPhone. “There were about a dozen (messages) from one girl, all sent on one day,” an insider told the Sun. “They were pretty saucy stuff with sexual references — certainly not the sort you’d send to just a friend.”

That’s when the pop star interrogated her soon-to-be ex. “Britney lost it and started yelling. She was demanding to know who sent the texts and shouting, ‘What’s this about? You’re cheating on me.’”

The source claimed Adnan went with the no-win “she’s just a friend” defense, but it only made Britney angrier. “She told him, ‘That’s it. It’s over.’”

Well, almost. Brit allegedly took one parting shot. “Just before she told Adnan to go, she took the phone and threw it in the pool right in front of him.” The insider added, “He didn’t even bother trying to get it out of the water.”

Kirsten considers leaving Hollywood behind While residing at Lindsay Lohan’s former rehab hotspot, the Cirque Lodge in Utah, Kirsten Dunst maintains a low profile. But according to Star magazine, Kiki’s fans may not see much more of her once she’s out of the facility, as the 25-year-old actress is considering leaving showbiz for good.

Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. on the "Let's Be Cops," red carpet, Selena Gomez is immortalized in wax and more.

“When she first came to the Cirque, she said she was planning to leave Hollywood,” a source revealed. “The staff tried to tell her she’ll feel differently when she learns how to handle her problems in more constructive ways. But ultimately, it will be Kirsten’s decision. If she feels that Hollywood holds too many temptations, then maybe she should go in another direction. One thing is for sure — Kirsten’s got a lot of demons to conquer. But she’s determined to win.”

Stern steamed at former sidekick
“Tonight Show” announcer John Melendez, aka “Stuttering John” from his Howard Stern days, is in hot water with his ex-boss. Page Six reports the professional sidekick blasted Howard during an appearance on “The Adam Carolla Show,” and the shock jock shot back.

Last Wednesday, after throwing around allegations that Howard underpaid him and turned his back on him when he left for late night, John told Adam, “He resented me doing any outside work.”

Later the same day, Howard ranted about the talk-turncoat on his Sirius Satellite show. “I didn't have a beef with him before, but I do now,” Howard raged. “He's delusional. If he was doing really well, he wouldn't be doing commercials for Tahiti Village. He can go (bleep) himself. I've had it with him, and he's a talentless (bleep). All he did was stutter.” Doubting even that, given his dulcet tones on “The Tonight Show,” Howard added, “Now he sounds like an elder statesman.”

Dish on the fly
With his booze and drugs days behind him, Colin Farrell has a new, healthier daily addiction: Russian steam baths. He told GQ magazine, “There's something very basic about rubbing honey on your skin and going steaming with a bunch of strange Russian men.” Hear hear! … They may frolic poolside and sport matching tattoos, but don’t assume Rihanna and Chris Brown are a couple. “Rumours come with the territory and you can't help these things,” the “Umbrella” singer said in a quote on Digital Spy. “I'm single. If a good guy comes along we'll make it work, but for now I'm having fun being a single woman.”
