Single pop Kevin Federline is doing his best to keep a brave face for Britney Spears and their two children, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. He’s even putting fatherhood before fame while his ex-wife is hopefully on the mend.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Kevin spoke with Britney at least twice during her extended stay at the Stewart & Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at the UCLA Medical Center. While Britney wasn’t exactly lucid throughout the phone calls, even breaking out her faux British accent at one point, a source says K-Fed does his best to stay cool.

“Kevin keeps it very clinical as he does not want to create any extra emotions for Britney right now,” the Federline family insider told Page Six. “The few times they chatted, Kevin had to cut it short because Britney went off on a tangent about Kevin kidnapping the boys from her. Kevin loves her — and wants her to get better for the boys — so he's trying not to let her get to him.”

Perhaps in an effort to keep down the controversy, Kevin’s even stepped back production on his own reality show documenting his life as a single dad, E! News reports. “His plans are on hold because of the Britney situation,” said an E! News source. “He had planned to do it, but not now.”

Meanwhile, according to the Page Six insider, “Kevin is relieved that Britney's parents have finally been able to step in and force her to get help.” However, the insider added, “Kevin is worried about Britney because he knows she must be going through hell right now, but his main concern is that she will not be in treatment long enough to turn things around.”

‘Good dad’ Larry Birkhead visits grave with Dannielynn A year after Anna Nicole Smith’s death and 10 months after gaining custody of their daughter, Dannielynn, Larry Birkhead took his little girl to the Bahamas for a first visit to her mother’s grave.

“It's tough,” Larry told Entertainment Tonight’s Jann Carl, who knelt beside the pair at Anna Nicole’s final resting place. “Even though (Dannielynn) doesn't understand, it was important for us to come. One day I can tell her that we went to visit her mom.”

Maybe one day Larry can also explain to his daughter why he invited a camera crew and reporter to join them for the solemn moment. Then again, lest anyone judge Larry’s papa skills in general, unnamed friends are ready to set the record straight.

“The baby loves him, and he is a hands-on dad,” an insider close to Larry revealed to E! News. “When he leaves the room, she cries for him. It is not like a fake-dad thing. Even before she could talk, she would cry for daddy when he left the room. They are very bonded. She puts her arms out like any kid would do for her dad.”

The source also confirmed that Anna Nicole would approve of how Larry’s handled things. “If (she) were alive, she would be happy to know that her daughter is thriving with a wonderful, loving father. He really does love her.”

Not that her on-screen presence gives it away, but Paris Hilton takes her acting pretty seriously. “My acting coach, Ivana Chubbuck … she's an incredible acting coach,” the heiress told People. If the shock of finding out “The Hottie and the Nottie” star has an acting coach isn’t enough, Paris also shared her “method” with the magazine. “If it's a scene where I have to get upset, I'll think of a past person. I'll think of something in my life, use it in the scene, and it really works.” Well, those jailhouse memories had to come in handy someday. … Subway sandwiches made Jared Fogle famous, but they couldn’t save his marriage or his money, reports National Enquirer. According to an insider, “He loves being a celebrity, but I think Jared's become too controlling and seems to have a bit of a mean streak in him.” After six years of marriage, ex-wife Elizabeth walked away with more than $230,000 and 60 percent of the proceeds from Jared's deal with St. Martin's Press, which published his life story.
