The three-year romance between “Brokeback Mountain” stars Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams is officially over, according to Us Weekly.

A source close to the couple confirmed the split to the magazine. “The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart.”

The source also told Us Weekly that despite the amicable parting, one thing would always bond them. “They have a beautiful daughter and they are both committed to being great parents.”

Their daughter, Matilda, was born in 2005, just a year after the couple met on the “Brokeback” set.

Sick Winehouse leaves maids ‘horrified’
Even in her Caribbean hideaway, trainwreck R&B star Amy Winehouse is causing concern. The UK’s Daily Mirror reports that the “Rehab” singer became violently ill in her pricey suite, leaving maids “horrified by the state of the room, which looked like a bomb had hit it.”

“There was blood and vomit all over the bathroom, it was just terrible,” a source told the Mirror. “The hotel management offered to send for a doctor but Amy declined. She said she'd be fine. Everyone was concerned because she looked so frail.”

Slideshow: The week in celebrity sightings Winehouse and hubby Blake Fielder-Civil fled to the St. Lucia hotel following weeks of reports concerning her alleged heroine and ketamine overdose, the couple’s revolving door rehab stays and rumors of domestic violence. Still, according to another paper, they haven’t had much privacy at the retreat.

Complaints of “strange smells” coming from the suite prompted staff to search the room, a source revealed to The Sun. "With their reputation it was no surprise management gave the room a thorough check daily. They would have been kicked out if there was evidence of drug use."

‘Dancing with the Stars’ pros waltz to the altar
With just weeks to go until “Dancing with the Stars” returns for another season, People magazine reveals that professional dancers Alec Mazo and Edyta Sliwinska found a little time between preseason rehearsals to get married over the weekend.

The dancing duo were just waiting for a break in their hectic schedules to make things official. “We planned on getting married last year, but with the show and then the tour back to back, we had to postpone it," Sliwinska told the magazine.

Dish on the fly
“Heroes” hottie Hayden Panettiere finally did something a vaguely naughty. The Sun reports the 18-year-old actress got a “Leo” star sign tattoo on her ankle without telling her mother. But the tat didn’t stay a secret for long. “I was being body-scanned for a special effect on ‘Heroes.’ And she saw it, tried to rub it off and suddenly she realized. Her eyes welled up,” she confessed to the paper. … Sean “Diddy” Combs takes his party theme seriously. At this years installment of the annual “White Party,” Billy Joel’s wife, Katie Joel, was asked to change out of her cream colored getup and into something appropriately snowy, reports TMZ. For her part, Katie said to heck with it and called it night.
