Is Britney Spears dating her drug counselor?
The 25-year-old rehabbed star insists that her relationship with John Sundahl is purely professional — but her soon-to-be-ex-hubby insists they’re dating and her mother is thrilled the two are supposedly seeing each other, according to the National Enquirer.
“John’s smitten with Britney,” a source described as “close to the new couple” told the tab. “I’ve never seen him act so ridiculous with a girl. He’s so in love with her that he’s risking his career just to keep her happy.”
Sundahl, who is 38 years old and is also a wealthy real estate developer, was recommended to Spears by someone at Promises, the rehab center where Spears stayed. At first, they met at his Beverly Hills house to discuss topics such as the twelve-step program — but the conversation allegedly got intimate rather quickly.

“Britney and John ended up making out beside the pool — and Britney acted like she didn’t care who saw her,” the source told the Enquirer. “She’s got no shame.”
Dating a patient is considered to be an ethical breach — though it’s not clear that Spears would be considered Sundahl’s patient. And although he acknowledges that he helps recovering addicts at his home, he denies that he’s dating Spears.
“I am not having a relationship with Britney Spears,” Sundahl told the Enquirer.
Lynne Spears, the "Toxic" singer’s mother, is thrilled with her daughter’s supposed romance, according to the source, who says: “Lynne says this guy is exactly what Britney needs to turn her life around.”
Lawyers in love?
While Larry Birkhead was battling it out for custody of his daughter, was his lawyer putting her hands all over Birkhead’s nemesis?
That’s one of the many shocking charges being leveled against Debra Opri, the lawyer who represented Birkhead in the bitter fight with Howard K. Stern over the daughter of late Playmate Anna Nicole Smith.
When Opri attended Smith’s funeral, reportedly against Birkhead’s wishes, “she was putting her hands all over Howard K. Stern to console him, which appeared inappropriate, especially when she was trash-talking him before and after,” according to an extensive story on the battle between Birkhead and his former lawyer in the new issue of OK! The anonymous source paints Opri as a money-hungry publicity hound who duped Birkhead into thinking she would represent him pro bono, then ran up outrageous fees.
The articles are accompanies by a Q&A with Birkhead, who addresses some rumors about the case — and gives an update on little Dannielynn.
“She’s been swimming, making a bunch of noises, walking in her little walker and her top tooth is coming in,” Birkhead said. “At night, I feed her a bottle and sing to her, and if I stop, she’ll start smacking my face.”
Notes from all over
Denis Leary says that T-Mobile pulling ads from an episode of “Rescue Me” that had a rape scene was hypocritical. “That annoyed me because it distracted from what a great acting job Andrea Roth, who plays Janet, my wife, did in that scene,” Roth tells the upcoming issue of Complex. “Also, at the time, two of T-Mobile’s spokespeople were Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton, who’s been videotaped under the same circumstances.” Well, not exactly the same, but certainly risqué. ... When asked which of the many drugs he took was the hardest to quit, Ozzy Osbourne says it was a legal one. “They’re all a [bleep] to kick, but I’d have to say cigarettes,” the former Black Sabbath singer told Guitar World. “I used to cover my whole body with [nicotine] patches. I looked like a [bleep] mummy. And I’d still smoke! Then my heart would start beating like crazy and I’d break out in sweats. But one day I just said, ‘Enough of this [bleep].’ And I quit, just like that.” ... Sinead O’Connor mixed it up with Prince. The controversial Irish crooner, who says she was diagnosed as bipolar four years ago, says she came to blows with the diminutive "Purple Rain" singer after she did a cover of his song, "Nothing Compares 2 U." “At the time he had a lot of female proteges and I had covered his song without having anything to do with him,” O’Connor told the London Mirror. “He invited me to his house in Los Angeles and started to give out to me for swearing in interviews. When I told him to go [bleep] himself he got very upset and became quite threatening, physically. I ended up having to escape.” But, objected the paper, “he’s such a small guy.” Replied O’Connor: “He can pack a punch. A few blows were exchanged. All I could do was spit. I spat on him quite a bit.”
