LOS ANGELES — It was a wild weekend for Britney Spears, as the pop princess faced her usual pack of paparazzi and delivered a bizarre message to her fans.
As she was chased by photographers, Britney broke out look, after look, after look, over the weekend before suddenly deciding to bring almost four weeks of post-rehab silence to a screeching halt.
And cue the Valley Girl impersonation:
"I just want to say that um, I'm just really, really shocked at like how nice our world is because it's just so nice. Like oh my God! Like, the other day, like I was sitting there and I saw these magazines and they said I was pregnant, and like, it's so true. Like America, believe everything you read. Because, like, you're smart and I'm stupid. Like for real. Come on y'all," Britney said in her best Valley Girl tone.
Britney invited a cameraman from the X-17 photo agency into a tanning salon on Friday to capture her first "interview" since rehab.
"Also, on the USA Today, cause always believe everything you read, it said that you know, like, I was drinking all the time. And like, it was so right. It was so true. I mean, oh my God, it was so right," she continued.
The sardonic Spears and her cousin Alli drove to the tanning salon for some artificial color, but did manage to squeeze in one genuine message.
"I want to say hey to all my fans and I can't wait for all my stuff to come out. I'm really excited," Brit said.
But then back to the, like, sarcasm, you know.
"And like my management totally knew what they were doing when they sent me to rehab. So right, you know. Just like, I'm just gonna cry right now because the world is so nice," Valley Girl Britney said.
Her newfound SoCal accent wasn't the only thing Britney revealed over the weekend though, as cameras also captured Britney's regrown naturally brown hair peeking out from under her hat.

She also rocked plenty of outfits over the weekend — five to be exact.
Obligingly, Britney posed for her dozens and dozens of following photographers before she headed to Shu Sushi for dinner, where once again, the same cameraman was invited inside.
"I'm at dinner right now. Me and my friend Alli. So we're gonna have to say goodbye. But we had a great day," Britney said, smiling to the camera in her natural voice. "It was a lot of fun, so hopefully I'll see you tomorrow."
Like, totally Brit. Totally.
