"Desperate Housewives" star Marcia Cross delivered fraternal twin girls on Tuesday, People Magazine reports. The girls will be named Eden and Savannah.

The actress, 44, married stockbroker Tom Mahoney, 49, in June 2006.

She had been on bed rest since January, with scenes of her ABC show being shot in her own bedroom, which was painted to match the bedroom of Bree Van De Kamp, her character on the show, People reports.

Cross had told the magazine that her later-in-life pregnancy was "like a miracle...I didn't think it would happen."
