We usually turn to the stars for insight on love and romance, but overlook the fact that some of our closest relationships are actually with our co-workers. After all, we probably spend as much, if not more, time with them than we do with our family.
The month ahead has some very dramatic celestial activity:
- Mercury, the planet of communication and transportation, will be retrograde (an astrological term describing the planet’s apparent reverse motion through the heavens, three times a year) from Feb. 13-March 8. It's a good time to clear clutter, back up files, return to and complete old projects, and contact friends and business associates from the past. But delays and communication/transportation mishaps often pop up during the retro, so frustration tolerance does come in handy.
- The new moon in Aquarius, which coincides with the Chinese New Year on Feb. 17 is good for setting new intentions.
- Venus, planet of love, attraction and connection, enters energetic Aries on Feb. 21, adding vim, vigor and verve to wherever she is in your horoscope.
- Mars, planet of action, goes into Aquarius, the sign of vision and exciting possibilities for the future, on Feb. 25, motivating us all to think and act outside of the box.
- Saturn and Neptune oppose one another exactly on Feb. 28. The challenge is to dream big and cope with the reality of the situation. Hidden conditions see the light of day, enabling all signs to make better informed decisions.
- The lunar eclipse on March 3 close to Uranus, the planet of sudden and unexpected change, is likely to bring an element of surprise on professional, relationship and home fronts.
- Mercury turns direct on Friday, March 8 and the weekend should be used to build up reserves for what will be an incredibly busy work week.

Work support team: Sagittarius, Aquarius, Aries, Leo
Competes with: everyone (especially Taurus)
Need to work on: not taking everything personally, trusting others.

Works best in an environment: that is steady dependable and predictable — at least to a certain extent.
Work support team: Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo
Competes/spars with: Gemini
Need to work on: getting off your high horse when you want to make a point, and being okay with those who disagree with you.

Work style: Gentle, contemplative, imaginative
Works best in an environment: that doesn’t limit your creativity and encourages you to shine.
Work support team: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius
Competes/spars with: Virgo
Need to work on: saying “yes” to everyone and everything, ridding yourself of the sense of being overwhelmed and realizing that you’re entitled to attention and praise every now and then.
Tip of the month: Say less and do more. The Mercury retrograde in your sign (and in Aquarius) works like a slingshot if played right — two steps backward will equal 10 steps forward. Venus
