Has Lindsay Lohan been cutting herself?
Lohan’s fans are alarmed by photos of the “Mean Girls” star that have appeared online and overseas, showing what seems to be scars on her wrists. The headline-making actress has been wearing casts and armbands on her wrists lately, but after the World Music Awards, was photographed with what seems to be both old and new cuts, as well as a burn in the shape of a figure eight.
“The arms are the most common place for self injury,” self-injury expert Jan Sutton, who has written two books on the subject, told the London Sun after being shown pics of Lohan’s wrists. “Some of the scars are fresh and just above those there are a number of injuries which look older. They are called keloid scars and are just beginning to disappear. It would be difficult to argue this is an accident as there are just too many scars.”
Earlier this year, Lohan was quoted in Vanity Fair admitting that she had an eating disorder, saying, “I was sick. Everyone was scared ... I had people sit me down and say, ‘You’re going to die if you don’t take care of yourself.’” She later insisted that the reporter had taken her quotes out of context. Lohan’s rep didn’t respond to the Scoop’s requests for comment.
Shouting matchParis Hilton turned heads at a party when she got into a four-letter shouting match with singer Sharleen Spiteri.
The partying heiress stunned onlookers when she accused the Texas warbler of throwing ice at her and called Spiteri a “[bleeping] ugly idiot,” reports the London Mirror.
Spiteri — who apparently was not one of the ice-throwers — gave as good as she got. She clenched her hand into a fist and shot back, “[Bleep] off, I’m not scared of you.’”
The two reportedly had to be pulled apart by Hilton’s bodyguards, and the potty-mouthed partier turned on one of them, allegedly shouting, “Why the [bleep] didn’t you stop this? You saw they were throwing ice. Why are you here at all when you can’t see this? [Bleeping] idiot.”
Notes from all overKanye West has stirred up another controversy about race. The rapper, who made headlines when he declared that George W. Bush doesn’t care about black people, has startled some with his comments about the offspring of racially mixed couples. “If it wasn’t for race mixing there’d be no video girls,” West is quoted as saying in the January issue of Essence magazine. “Me and most of our friends like mutts a lot. Yeah, in the hood they call ’em mutts.” ... Execs at BetUs, an on-line gambling site, are furiously trying to get their hands on that Britney Spears sex video — if it exists — and are promising that if they acquire rights to it, they’ll show it on the Internet for free ... Pamela Anderson is making light of that laptop-throwing incident. Anderson’s co-star, Denise Richards, threw two laptops at paparazzi, slightly injuring an elderly bystander. At the wrap party for the movie, reports Life & Style Weekly, Anderson gave her co-star the gift of a laptop. Richards reportedly loved the gift.
