Katie Couric is leaving NBC after 15 years on the “Today” show, and we want to give you, our viewers, the opportunity to say goodbye to her.
If you'd like to say goodbye ... wish her well ... thank her ... tell her what you're going to miss the most ... share how she inspired you ... or just want to say what you love most about her ... here's your chance.
Please send us a video message, no longer than one minute in length, about how much you're going to miss Katie... And while we're at it, if you think you're Katie's #1 fan, we want to know that too AND WHY. Some of the most creative messages might make the air and if your video is really memorable we might fly you out to New York City to watch Katie's final show and receive an invitation to her farewell party.
SUBMISSION TERMS
By submitting your video, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
The video file should be less than one minute long and no larger than 8 MB. Please note that if you are submitting by cell phone your carrier’s messaging rates may apply. Please note that you must be a US resident 18 years of age or older to submit.
Your Goodbye Video or message (“Submission”) must be original, truthful and must not contain any music or otherwise infringe upon any rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, and rights of privacy and publicity. You must have the permission of all persons appearing in your Video for you to submit your Video for use by us. By submitting your Submission you grant TODAY and NBC Universal, Inc. (“NBCU”) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, unrestricted, irrevocable and fully sublicensable right and license (but not the obligation) to consider, disclose, broadcast, use, re-use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, re-distribute, publicly perform and/or display your Submission (in whole or in part or as modified in NBCU’s sole discretion), and the images and likenesses that appear in your Submission (in whole or in part), and/or incorporate all or part of your Submission for use in all media now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation on the TODAY show, the internet, home video and any promotions for the show and on the NBC MOBILE cell phone service. You acknowledge that your consideration for the rights you grant NBCU in your Submission is, among other things, the possibility of NBC’s review or use of your Submission. You will not receive any compensation of any kind for your Submission. Your entry will not be acknowledged, returned or held “in confidence.”
This Agreement supercedes any and all agreements or communications of any kind between you and NBCU relating to your Submission; it cannot be modified or waived except in writing and unless properly signed. This Agreement is governed by the laws of New York State without regard to choice of law rules
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO:
Follow these instructions to submit your video. There are two options: You can either send your video by mail, or you can e-mail your digital video. Please be sure to include all information requested.
SEND YOUR VIDEO BY MAIL:
