Located just four miles from the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Golden Oak community is the first-ever area of its kind at the resort, with single-family homes available for whole-ownership purchase.

Amid a natural conservation area in Orlando, the development covers approximately 980 acres of land featuring both residential and commercial areas, according to a press release. The custom-built houses — which are inspired by old-world Mediterranean and Caribbean architecture — start at a hefty $2 million, and once fully developed, the gated community will have approximately 290 homes.

Of course it wouldn’t be Disney without themes. The neighborhoods that make up Golden Oak offer different designs and settings. For example, Kimball Trace is a Tuscan-inspired village with courtyard homes between 3,000 to 5,000 square feet, while the secluded Carolwood Reserve features the Grand Estate homes ranging from 6,500 to 12,000 square feet with serene views.

And a new neighborhood will be popping up in the community very soon. Four Seasons Private Residences, which is scheduled to begin construction later this summer, will offer luxury 6,000-10,000 square foot single-family homes starting at a cool $5 million.

Residents will get all the privacy and space of a stand-alone house, but can also enjoy the sweet amenities of a luxe hotel thanks to the private entrance and access to the services at the neighboring Four Seasons Resort (which is part of the commercial development.)

Other amenities in Golden Oak include golf services, Disney Parks tickets, Extra Magic Hours benefit, and access to Summerhouse, a private 17,000 square-foot clubhouse that features a dining room, bar, gaming area, and pool. Oh, and residents can also expect to be invited to plenty of parties and family events year-round.

Yes, it all sounds pretty magical, but if you do want one of these castles to call your own, it’s going to cost not only the price of the home, but also a pretty hefty annual fee for maintenance and Club membership.

If you do have a fortune in gold (or just want to dream), here’s a $3 million Spanish hideaway home currently for resale with a Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired theater (Captain Jack Sparrow unfortunately not included.)
