The actor and musician prefers starlight to spotlights and has lived for years out of the way, on a 276-acre ranch outside Greybull, Wyoming. Now Brimley, who turns 80 in September, has moved to a house in town and is selling his ranch for $1.25 million.

Other Hollywood stars clear out of their properties and have them staged. Brimley appears in his own listing photos, blacksmithing in an apron.
