It’s easy to imagine Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne having dinner with their friends, fellow actors Annie Parisse and Paul Sparks, at the latter couple’s home in Brooklyn. After all, Cannavale starred with Sparks in the series “Boardwalk Empire,” for which Cannavale won a 2013 Emmy.
What’s less likely is that Cannavale and Byrne (a two-time Emmy nominee herself for the TV drama "Damages" who's also known for comedies such as “Bridesmaids”) would buy the 2,000-square-foot home — but, as The Real Deal first reported, that’s what happened. Earlier this month, they paid $2.15 million for the 3-bedroom, 3-bath gem with hardwood floors and exposed-beam ceilings.
The couple is relocating from Manhattan to this sunlit abode on a quiet street in Brooklyn’s popular Boerum Hill neighborhood, where other actors including Michelle Williams, Ethan Hawke, Sandra Oh and Keri Russell have lived.
Built in 1899, the home retains a parlor floor with original details yet also boasts modern amenities such as an open, renovated kitchen, a renovated bathroom, and an upstairs landing with a skylight to complement the home’s many windows.
The garden level has a full-floor apartment that can be used as a family room, office or guest room.
The listing agent was Cyrus Greenspon of Sotheby’s International Realty.
