Tara Lipinski invited you over for a visit in her living room in January as part of TODAY’s original “At Home with TODAY” series, and we've wanted to curl up in front of the fireplace ever since. If you loved the cozy living room, too, here’s how you can get a similar look in your own home.

Leather sofa

TODAY; ValueCityFurniture.com

Let’s get down to business: That leather sofa is the couch of our dreams. Not only because of it’s perfectly-worn look, but those seat cushions are deep. Leather sofas are often pricey, so if you’re looking to add one to your home, prepare to spend a significant number. The Burnham Sofa from Value City Furniture comes with a reasonable price tag considering the competition, and it’s a luxurious 45 inches deep.

Brown bookcase

TODAY; IKEA

Just behind Tara’s sofa are three vertical bookcases side by side. Whether you fill them with vintage books, like Tara did, or use as storage, IKEA’s Billy Bookcase in brown placed side by side is an inexpensive way to get a similar look.

Bookshelf items

Tara filled her bookcases with classic novels from New York’s famous Strand Book Store, which also sells collectible books through its website. Anthropologie also has a number of options, while eBay or your local bookstores also have similar books.

Floor lamps

Flanked beside Tara’s bookcases are two pedestal lamps, and these Threshold Double Socket Floor Lamps have unique curves and the reclaimed-wood look so common in the room. Bonus: The shade comes with the lamp!

Coffee table

One of Tara’s favorite pieces in the room was the ornate wood coffee table sitting in its center. While it’s not an exact replica, we love the decorative and distressed look this Cornice Coffee Table has to offer.

Blue curtains

Hanging over each of Tara’s three windows are stunning blue curtains that pool at the ground, giving a warm, luxurious feel to the room. But the look doesn’t have to come at a luxury price, as these silk curtains from Overstock.com prove.

Dripped candles

The pair of white, dripping candles on Tara’s side table are so perfect for these winter months that we had to track similar ones down. These flameless, remote-controlled candles seem to perfectly fit the bill!

Book DIY

Samantha Okazaki/TODAY

Several readers chimed in on TODAY's Facebook page with their love for Tara’s DIY project hanging on one wall. Fortunately, it’s something anyone can handle! Simply pick up a frame from an antique or thrift store (or Etsy), take out the interior and paint it white. Sand it to get a distressed look, then hang it on a wall and place a book in its center. If you’re having a tough time getting the book to stay flipped to a certain page, use a little glue to get the other pages to stick together.
