Malibu never goes out of style, but some of the furniture in Matthew Perry’s Malibu beach house might have. Now the star has redecorated his architecturally unique modern home and hopes to take advantage of a hot Malibu real estate market.
This week, he relisted his home at 3556 Sweetwater Mesa Rd for $12.5 million.
The four-bedroom, six-bath home overlooking the Malibu pier was listed for $13.5 million for about five months from 2011 to 2012. The new listing has sleeker, beachier furniture, showing off the home’s architectural uniqueness, including a patio built over the pool.
Perry has long been a friend to the real estate game. In the past few years, he has sold other modern properties in Hollywood Hills and West Hollywood, and bought a new home on the Sunset Strip. The former “Friends” star grew up in Canada but moved to Los Angeles when he was 15, according to IMDb.
Since his role as Chandler Bing on the long-running NBC sitcom, Perry has been in several movies and a couple of ill-fated television shows, including “Go On” and “Mr. Sunshine.”
The new Malibu listing is held by Greg Holcomb of The Partners Trust, who handles all of Perry’s real estate transactions.
