The 304-page book, which was released on Tuesday, includes both photographs and interior decorating tips from DeGeneres, who's had several homes over the last 25 years.

"Every home that we have lived in people say that you should photograph this and we did, but then we didn't do anything with the photographs and everyone said you need to do a book and especially because I really do love doing it and nobody really knows that about me except my closest friends," said DeGeneres on TODAY about her motivation for creating this new book.

She loves interior design so much that if it wasn't for a career in television, she admits we could find her doing decorating for a living, but she definitely doesn't love every part of it.

But don't worry. DeGeneres tells Lauer she's certainly not ready to give up making us laugh on her talk show for interior design just yet.

"I'm having fun and people seem to be enjoying it," DeGeneres said. "I'll do it as along as it's fun."
