When you’re distracted by the TV, you’re less aware of your body’s internal fullness cues and more likely to overeat. From now on, make it a rule to eat meals only while sitting down at the kitchen table (not camped out on the couch), without a computer or a TV playing in the background. When your meal is your only focus, you’re far less likely to eat past the point of fullness.
