With 2016 just around the corner, you may be thinking about creating something completely new for yourself in the new year! Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, run a race or take charge of your health, now is the best time to make a commitment to YOU!

It’s important to remember that we deserve to take good care of ourselves, too. In turn, we become better friends, mothers, fathers, boyfriends and girlfriends.

Tone It Up

For today’s Tone-Up Tuesdays post, we’re sharing our top tips to not only create the best goals, but achieve them, too!

The kind of goal you set matters.

Focus on setting process-oriented goals! This year, make it your mission to complete the things you know will get you to where you want to be.

Some examples include: working out at least 3 times a week and consuming twice as many leafy greens with dinner. The best part about this is that at the end of the day you can tell yourself, “I succeeded!”

Put it to paper.

We love vision boards, lists and dream journals — so we encourage you to use them all!

When you physically write down your goals, you're setting an intention. You're telling your subconscious mind that you’re serious, which will help you stay focused.

Once you have that list, read it often as a reminder of what you know you’re capable of achieving.

Stay accountable.

It’s important to have a system in place that inspires and motivates you to stay on track. An accountability partner is a great start, but how about having thousands of women supporting and encouraging you to stay strong!?

There’s amazing power in our Tone It Up Community, which is why we created a fitness challenge to help keep us all on track! The Tone It Up Challenge kicks off Jan. 3 and last for eight weeks with workouts, inspiration and tons of additional tips to help you make 2016 your best year yet!
