In Hollywood smash "Jurassic World," Chris Pratt saves scores of unsuspecting tourists from a deadly, genetically modified dinosaur. Along the way, he racked up one of the highest box-office grosses of all time. Yet perhaps his most heroic role may be the one he plays regularly off-screen and far out of the spotlight — a champion of sick kids.

Late Monday, Pratt took to Instagram to post photos from his most recent trip to Seattle Children’s Hospital. One of the pictures shows the actor flexing alongside young Madisen, a cancer patient who easily has Pratt beat when it comes to strength. “What an awesome kid with such a beautiful smile. She’s a lover of art and fashion, and she’s going places,” the actor wrote, noting that his heart was full.

Another one of the patients the actor met was Rowan, a boy who dressed up for Halloween as Groot, a character from Pratt’s "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise. The real-life Star Lord praised the brave youngster writing, “You’re in my prayers tonight, little man. Stay strong.”

A representative for the hospital told TODAY in a statement, "We are incredibly grateful to Chris Pratt for taking the time to visit with our patients and families. He is a real-life superhero to each and every patient and family that he meets. He brightens their day and brings a welcomed distraction. We can’t say thank you enough for the joy he brings to the hospital."

Pratt’s visit would not have been complete without a stop by the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, or NICU. The particular wing holds a special place in Pratt’s heart after his own son Jack arrived prematurely — nine weeks to be exact — in 2012. The actor told People that the experience “restored my faith in God.”

There Pratt paid a visit to twins Coen and Zion, who he said each weighed about a pound and a half when they were born. The actor was happy to report that, thanks to the staff at Seattle Children’s, “the boys are doing fine, although they’re both missing their big sis.”

This isn’t the first time Pratt has visited real-life heroes at the hospital. Through a Super Bowl bet with his friend and "Captain America" star Chris Evans, the two on-screen super heroes raised thousands of dollars for Seattle’s Children and Christopher’s Haven in 2015. And last October, Pratt took a break from filming "Passengers" one Saturday to meet with young fans at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
