You may be hearing a lot about GMOs in the news lately as states debate whether or not to pass a law requiring the labeling of foods that contain genetically modified ingredients. My home state of Connecticut recently became the first to pass such a bill. In the meantime, there are plenty of companies out there who are committed to selling products without compromised ingredients. For a comprehensive list, visit the Non-GMO Project’s website, and look for these delicious snacks on your next shopping trip.

Dr. Lucy’s Brownie Cakes

Not only are Dr. Lucy’s products Non-GMO, but they’re also vegan and gluten-free. But you won’t miss the wheat or dairy in these delightfully chewy chocolate bites.

Kettle Brand Potato Chips in Maple Bacon and Sweet and Salty

The hands-down best potato chips on the market have introduced two new flavors just in time for summer barbecues. Do yourself a favor and buy the party-size bag!

Pamela’s Whenever Bars in Oat Blueberry Lemon

Also gluten-free, these snack bars, which contain heart-healthy chia seeds and are lightly sweetened with agave and coconut sugars are an excellent snack choice any time of day, especially before a workout.

NibMor Daily Dose of Dark

These squares of dark chocolate may be free of refined sugar, dairy, gluten and GMO,s but they make up for it in serious flavor. Wow! NibMor’s products contain cacao nibs, which are loaded with antioxidants, Tryptophan, and tons of vitamins and minerals. And at just 50 calories per square, there’s absolutely no reason not to indulge. Available in Original and Mint+Nibs.

Purely Elizabeth Ancient Grain Granola Cereal

Whether you sprinkle it on Greek yogurt or eat it by the handful from the bag, this granola, which is also free of refined sugar, is a healthy satisfying snack with the perfect amount of sweet and savory flavor.

Funley’s Super Crackers

Available in four flavors, Cheddar, Pizza, Cornbread and Ranch, each of Funley’s crackers contain a “hidden” vegetable like broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes and spinach. A boon for parents, especially on those days when their tots would rather throw their veggies than eat them.

Snikiddy Eat Your Vegetables

These crisps look like a chip but have a full serving of vegetables in every ounce. (Which does wonders for quelling any guilt you may have over snacking on chips.) Available in five flavors: Sea Salt, Sour Cream & Onion, Jalapeno Ranch, Italian Herb & Olive Oil and Sea Salt & Lime.
