As you may have heard, TODAY (along with Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist and Tamron Hall) is teaming up with The Avon Foundation for the "Pink or Swim Challenge," which is raising funds for breast cancer research.
We announced our #PinkPowerTODAY initiative last week and gave a shout out to TODAY viewers, asking if you all could help us reach our fundraising goal by the end of October.
Well, on Thursday the stakes got a lot higher when Brooke Shields spoke with the TODAY's Take gang and made two promises:
- She's donating $1,000!
- If TODAY makes its goal, she'll sit in the dunk tank that'll be stationed on the TODAY plaza in celebration.
"What you're doing is absolutely incredible," she told Al, Natalie, Willie and Tamron. "I think it's just only fair that I get dunked with the team."
