Acclaimed chef Thomas Keller, whose restaurant Per Se was honored Monday night with a James Beard Award for outstanding service, is opening Bouchon Bakery in Rockefeller Center in New York City. If you’re like us, trying to decide between an array of cookies, pastries, chocolates and tarts can leave us spinning in circles like hamsters.

“My most favorite cookies are ones that I remember from my childhood,” Keller said. “I think the reason I enjoy Bouchon Bakery so much is because of the nostalgia and the new happy memories that are constantly created. Who doesn’t have a sweet tooth?”

To help you narrow down your options, Keller reveals his top five favorite items from the bakery:

  • Chocolate chunk cookie and the nutter butter cookie (get the recipe to make your own)
  • The TKO, which is Bouchon’s version of the Oreo cookie.
  • "Macaron, a traditional French dessert that I fell in love with during my stay in France."
  • "Peanut butter cups. One of my guilty pleasures are Reese’s peanut butter cups, so I convinced our pastry chef Sebastien to make a grown-up version of it."
  • Pain au chocolat – it’s a croissant and chocolate. What’s not to like?
