There are so many reasons why I love making food in mugs. First of all, mug meals are always adorable—especially when I use my favorite blue-striped ceramic mug. Second, it makes portion control so much easier. But most importantly, making my meals in a mug means that there are fewer dishes!
As a college student, I started experimenting with mug meals. My first one was a chocolate cake recipe, but honestly, it didn't exactly turn out as I expected. Don't get disgruntled if your first try isn't perfect! The cook time can vary from microwave to microwave.
