Meet Alejandra Ramos, food blogger, Pinterest star and TODAY Tastemaker

Between Pinterest, Instagram and just the internet at large, it can get pretty overwhelming to keep up with what's hot and what's useful. Here at TODAY, it's always been our mission to share the tips and tricks that are truly expert-approved.

In an effort to continue bringing our viewers and readers the best of the best, we've assembled a talented team of lifestyle gurus to help navigate the worlds of fashion, health and, of course, food.

To kick things off, please help us welcome food blogger Alejandra Ramos.

Alejandra is the creator of Always Order Dessert, a food and entertaining blog featuring sweet and savory recipes (and lifestyle tips) that are elegant, playful and just the right amount of decadent.

To her, the phrase “Always Order Dessert” is more than just a blog name; it’s a life philosophy of always making room for a bit of sweetness both on the table, and in every aspect of our days. It's about saying good-bye to guilt and allowing yourself pleasures like baking a luscious cake (just because you crave it), booking a last-minute adventure (or that one you've been dreaming about for ages!), and taking advantage of any excuse to bring your friends and loved ones together around the table.

A former International Editions Editor for Cosmopolitan at Hearst Magazines International, Alejandra knew that life behind a desk was not for her. After a few years of food blogging, catering, and teaching cooking classes on the side, she left her corporate job in April 2011 to pursue her dream of creating her own lifestyle business that made it possible for her to focus turning that passion into a full-time career.
