You might've been distraught in 2016 when the days of the Mickey D's Dollar Menu came to an end. But now, McDonald's is working on rolling out a revamped value menu that supposedly doesn't sacrifice quality for price.

The company has spent the last few years moving toward higher-quality meals with fresh beef patties and its "Signature Crafted Recipes" sandwich line (complete with a Kale & Sriracha Mac Sauce sandwich of course), but quality does not come cheap.

In 2016, McDonald's eliminated its "Dollar Menu & More," a modified version of the Dollar Menu which included items ranging from $1-5, launched in 2013. The company replaced that with the "McPick 2" deal, but those deals aren't available nationwide.

Now, the burger behemoth is trying to find a happy medium between the highest quality and the best value — hence this new-and-improved value menu.

Cowen and Company analyst Andrew Charles said that he expects this new nationwide value menu to launch in late 2017 or early 2018, and that it "will be focused on distinct $1, $2 and $3 price points," Buzzfeed reported.

While we don't yet know what food items will make it onto this new value menu, in the meantime, you can continue to enjoy McDonald's $1 coffee and soft drink deals currently offered in stores.
