Martha Stewart has been getting a lot of heat on social media for her less-than-Pinterest-perfect food selfies.
"Martha Stewart can't stop tweeting really gross pictures of her food," Jezebel writer Erin Gloria Ryan complained this week.
"Don't get me wrong; I love Martha Stewart and her Cooking School book changed my life," she added. "But, Christ, the food tweets. They're so bad."
Sure, they don't belong in the pages of her magazine, or any magazine, really, but we hope Martha never stops sharing these images — because they're just like our bad photos of food that actually tasted amazing!
It's hard to admit, and I appreciate my friends' kind, patronizing Instagram likes. But the food pictures I take look like total dog food, even when the dish itself was delicious.
Restaurant dishes, lovingly crafted by professionals, come out hideous in my camera. And forget homemade: It's the stuff nightmares are made of.
Martha herself had no comment for TODAY, though she did respond via Twitter:
