Krispy Kreme and Reese's team up for the doughnut of our dreams

Two of our favorite guilty pleasures have been combined into one delicious treat.

When you're craving a sweet treat, sometimes the biggest question is whether to head to a bakery or to a candy store. Now, two of our favorite guilty pleasures have been combined into one perfect pastry.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme and Reese’s have teamed up for what is possibly the doughnut of our wildest dreams. Imagine a piping-doughnut, filled with Reese's Peanut Butter Kreme filling, all dipped in chocolate icing. The pastry is topped with a chocolate and peanut butter drizzle and Reese's Mini Peanut Butter chips and peanuts.

Phew. We’re a little overwhelmed as well.

“Similar to our hot, fresh doughnuts, the matchmaking of chocolate and peanut butter is a delicious combination that consumers have enjoyed for generations,” Jackie Woodward, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, said in a statement adding that they're "satisfying an intense desire" for a treat that fans of both doughnuts and Reese's never knew they had.

The Reese's doughnuts were previously released in Australia last year, but this is the time they'll be available in the U.S.

And this isn't the first time Krispy Kreme has fulfilled our deepest dessert fantasies. The brand teamed with Ghirardelli this spring for a limited run of rich sea salt chocolate-caramel and mint-chocolate doughnuts.

The Reese’s doughnut will be available beginning Friday, Aug. 4 for a limited time nationwide.
