Serving dip at your Super Bowl party? Sure, you could scoop it into bowls... but why not dress things up a little by making a bowl that looks just super — out of a cabbage?
In this video, Bianca Borges, TODAY director of culinary production, demonstrates how to create a firm base for your bowl, as well as how to expertly cut and scoop out the insides. (And don't throw out that leftover cabbage — save it for coleslaw!)
In addition to Borges' super-easy two-ingredient dip — a mixture of one part sour cream to anywhere from 1/4 to one part Dijon mustard — here are some more dips that would look and taste great served in a cabbage bowl:
- Homemade hummus (or dress up store-bought with extra virgin olive oil and smoked paprika)
- Onion dip
- Spinach and artichoke dip
- Lemon-parsley tahini dip
