Growing up can be so overrated—at least the part that means you're supposed to eat boring bran flakes or some other adult-appropriate food for breakfast.
Don't you sometimes miss the good old days, when each morning brought a bowl of ridiculously sugary cereal that turned the milk all kinds of pink or blue? Well, we're about to give you a great excuse to relive the guilty goodness of your youth: General Mills is about to bring back some beloved retro cereals from its monster-theme line. Franken Berry, Boo Berry and Count Chocula will be available again this year just in time for Halloween, along with two vintage cult faves, Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy, which will be reissued this fall for the first time, notes the Taste of General Mills blog.
Holy morning sugar rush. This is pretty exciting stuff for the kids in us - but more than a bit questionable for our dental bills, waistline and all the other things us grown folks have to consider these days.
But hey, these cereals won't be around all year, so we're not going to sweat our innocent little bout of nostalgia. Maybe we'll even give our own kids a small, sweet taste of our youth. All simply in the festive spirit of Halloween, of course.
Would you eat General Mills' revived monster sugary cereals -- or would you let your kids?
