The world has been abuzz about Oreo’s latest limited edition flavor, featuring golden cookies with pink and green watermelon-flavored crème filling. It’s reminiscent of watermelon-flavored Bubble Yum or watermelon Jolly Ranchers, and while one TODAY.com staffer with a super sweet tooth “loved it,” most found the chemical aftertaste too offensive to get over, with many calling it, simply, "gross." Subbing out the milk and dipping the sandwich cookie in vodka was proposed as a solution, but we had no vodka in the office to test the theory.

Watermelon passion spritzer
Those who prefer their watermelon on the rocks can indulge in a watermelon-passion spritzer, made with passion fruit juice, chunks of the fruit and a splash of lemon sour.
1 1⁄2 parts Pucker® Watermelon Wow Vodka
1 1⁄2 parts passion fruit juice
2 1-inch chunks of watermelon
Splash lemon sour
Muddle watermelon chunks in a shaker, add ice and remaining ingredients. Shake and strain over fresh ice in a highball glass. Garnish with passion fruit pulp and watermelon ball or chunk.
