Rumors swirled yesterday that songstress Beyonce Knowles was set to publish a soul food cookbook after an unnamed source told the U.K.’s Daily Mirror that pal Gwyneth Paltrow gave her some encouragement. But a publicist for the star denied the claims, telling TODAY.com: “This is untrue.”

That should bring some relief to the blogosphere, which reacted to the prospect of a bootylicious cookbook with a huge helping of hatorade. The haters cited B’s proclamation in 2009 that she was a “disaster in the kitchen,” in which she added: “You know what my secret is for preparing the perfect meal for friends when I invite them over? It's ordering from the best restaurants and having the food delivered.”

While you might not be able to get Beyonce’s recipes (if she has any) anytime soon, you can dine like the star by heading to some of the New York haunts she frequents with hubby Jay-Z -- including Marea, Lucali’s, The Spotted Pig and La Esquina, where she’s been photographed several times.
