For those who missed the ballroom action Monday night, or for those who would just like relive the memorable bits before tuning in to Tuesday night's results show, here’s a rundown of a few of the can’t-miss "Dancing With the Stars" moments.

Fashion guru and TV host Carson Kressley stole the show with a high-energy, all-out, sparkling routine that showed off his Jagger swagger.

Meanwhile, Chaz Bono backed up his pre-season buzz with some fancy footwork of his own.

Of course, not every move of the night was a winner, as anyone who watched Ron Artest, aka Metta World Peace, can confirm.

But that flawed, heavy-footed dance was hardly the worse misstep the ballroom witnessed on premiere night. That distinction goes to “Dancing’s” co-host, Brooke Burke, who stumbled big with her question to actor and war hero J.R. Martinez.

After Martinez’s strong effort on the floor, Burke asked, “Now, 8 years ago, when you were serving in Iraq, did you ever imagine that you would be in here in a ballroom, in front of millions of people?”

Yes, really.

Martinez deserved an extra point or two just for responding with a quick deadpanned, “Absolutely.”
