Move over, guys! Men may have the edge when it comes to winning certain singing competitions nowadays (just take a look at the last five winners of "American Idol"), but on Tuesday night a woman won "The Voice."

Cassadee Pope, who made it to the finals with worthy competitors Nicholas David and Terry McDermott, really gained momentum weeks ago when she performed Blake Shelton's "Over You" and seemed unstoppable right up to her victory.

Before the results were announced, each of the contestants shared the stage with a variety of big acts (from Smokey Robinson to The Killers to "Idol" alum Kelly Clarkson).

In the end, the 23-year-old claimed her win -- and the record deal and cash prize of $100,000 that came with it. (Terry nabbed second place, and Nicholas took third.)

But of course, the win wasn't just a big boon for Cassadee. It also marked Team Blake's second win in a row on the show. So if Adam Levine was tired of Blake's so-called trash talk this season, he can rest assured he'll hear more of it next time.

Coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, however, won't hear a bit of it. In addition to marking the end of the season, the finale marked the end of Team Cee Lo and Team Christina -- for now. Both judges are taking what's expected to be temporary leave from the talent show to work on their own projects.

"I'm kind of sad," Adam said, reflecting on the end of the season and his departing pals.

Viewers no doubt felt a bit sad too when the four coaches then took the stage for a bittersweet group performance of Green Day's "Time of Your Life."

Get ready for Team Usher and Team Shakira next season.
