Paul Walker's "Fast & Furious" co-star Vin Diesel called the late actor an "angel in heaven" on Monday when he visited the Valencia, Calif. site where the 40-year-old actor and his friend Roger Rodas died in a car crash on Saturday.

Diesel spoke to the crowd using a sheriff's car radio, in a speech captured on video by KTLA-TV.

"If he could see for himself that all of you have showed up to show my brother love at this hard time, and the family gets to see all of you show the love that you've shown Paul, it's going to stay with me forever," Diesel said. "I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here, and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him."

The star of the "Fast & Furious" film franchise died in a car accident on Nov. 30, 2013. He was 40.

Diesel also remembered Walker on his Facebook page, referring to him as "Pablo," Spanish for Paul, and "Brian," Walker's "Fast & Furious" character name.

Fellow co-star Michelle Rodriguez also remembered Walker on her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Another co-star, Tyrese Gibson, visited the crash site on Sunday, just a day after the crash, and left flowers for his friend.

Gibson also remembered Walker in several touching posts on Instagram and Twitter.

Walker's official Twitter account has asked that fans wishing to remember him do so with a donation to the charity he co-founded, Reach Out Worldwide.
