Fashion guru and "Project Runway" mentor Tim Gunn doesn't mince his words when it comes to fashion, a topic that he's very passionate about.

Gunn appeared on "Lopez Tonight" Tuesday, and when host George Lopez asked him for his thoughts on how the kids of "Jersey Shore" dress, Gunn went off. "It's all that stretch material -- the Spandex, the Lurex, the tightness, the skin. It's vulgar! I'm sorry! And what is Snooki wearing on her legs?!"

When Lopez asked if Snooki was a fashion icon, Gunn was horrified by the thought. "If Snooki is an icon of fashion, I'm leaving the industry," he declared with a disgusted shake of his head. "Not even remotely. No."

But it didn't end there. Gunn shared his theory on why he thinks the guidette leaves the house dressed the way she does. He called it The Monkey House at the Zoo Theory: "In the case of say, a Snooki, she looks at herself in the mirror for the first time in that getup and says, 'Oh my god. Can I really go out in this?'  And then 20 minutes later, she's still looking at herself and she thinks, 'I don't look so bad.' At the monkey house, it would be, 'Oh it doesn't smell so bad anymore.' Though when you first walk in it stinks, and after 40 minutes it doesn't smell at all, and that's when Snooki leaves the house."

Ouch!

"The Jersey Shore" star wasn't his only fashion target. Gunn had some issues with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who isn't making it work when it comes to fashion, in his opinion. Check it out:
